TOA Europe is celebrating a huge new audio network installation comprising TOA VM-3000 Series PA/VA systems, SX-2000 audio management systems and loudspeakers , in Frankfurt, Germany.
Due to open later this year, the OpernTurm (literally ‘Opera Tower’) is the latest addition to Frankfurt’s celebrated skyline. Comprising a 170m high-rise building and a 26m low-rise perimeter development, OpernTurm derives its name from Frankfurt’s historic opera house, the Alte Oper, which faces it across Opernplatz.

Chemical plant’s audio upgrade uses NX-100 network adapters
TOA’s NX-100 Network Audio Adapter has been chosen as the hub of a new PA/VA installation at a large chemical plant in Wales. Specialist systems integration firm PAS Sound Engineering selected the NX-100 because of its ability to convert analogue audio into digital packets for transmission over an IP-based network.

In 2012 the use of UHF radio microphone will change from Ch 69 to channel 38, these only affects users on CH69 which requires a licence to be purchased from JFMG. Users can still use ch70 after 2012, as this channel does not require a licence. However as this channel is deregulated it may become even more crowded, and only 4 frequencies within this channel can be used simultaneously due to inter modulation.
